I haven’t updated in a few days. At first I was just doing other things and wearing non self made polishes. Then I thought “I have some free time I’ll put on that Study in Pink and take some photos.” A Study in Pink has destroyed itself pretty much. It’s simultaneously too thin and too thick. I can’t figure out how to fix it. I attempted to add some polish thinner and it didn’t really seem to do much. I have no idea what to do about it since I can’t make another bottle because all of my things aren’t here.
I think I know what the problem is. It’s the only polish made with a pigment in the whole collection, and it is the only polish giving me this big of a problem. I think the color is recreateable with other polishes so I can make another less fussy bottle at a later time.
As for now I’m going to see if I can do something, ANYTHING, with it. If not I might move on and go to the Blind Banker and take a photo of A Study in Pink at some later time. BLEURGH.
vonlipwig asked: Hello! I just wanted to pop in and say that I love your nail polishes; they're amazing! I keep looking through going 'ooh, I want that one, and that one, and that one...' How do you make them? (If you don't mind me asking).
Thank you so much!

I don’t mind at all divulging how I make/made them. I would just blurt out the exact recipe for them but I didn’t do that fantastic of a job at keeping track of measurements and ratios. I have remade some for friends and stuff so I can duplicate the process just fine but it’s more of a “add things until they look like that other thing” kind of deal.
Anyway they are a mix of other polishes, I mostly use China Glaze because it’s nice quality but fairly cheep but there are a few other brands mixed in there as well, eye shadows, I have only used ELF brand mineral shadow thus far, and pigments, only one uses a pigment and that’s A Study in Pink which I will probably swatch tomorrow. The cremes tend to be the polish blends, The Sitting Down Type, A Drugs Bust, and Not Your Housekeeper, while the shimmers are usually eye shadow polish mixes, Consulting Detective and Childish Feud. Oh, No You Won’t is also a polish blend but it didn’t fit into the creme or shimmer category. I hope that answers your question! :D
peacheshero asked: Hey, so I was going to post this on your blog, but the comment system needed an account so I'm just going to put it here: I would totally wear all of these, and if you sold them, I would buy them. They're all very cool, especially No You Won't. I love this blog, hope you continue through Season 2 and then on to other shows! (Until Season 3 ;D)
Thank you so much!
I will continue to do the other series. I already have a few ideas for them. I have been thinking about other shows and some video games to do polishes as well. I haven’t pinned down anything specific yet for other polish lines.
As for selling them, I would really like to. However, it’s not a possibility until at least April, if at all. I’m a student so I have limited space, however unlike most students I don’t have that limited of an income. I was thinking that I would do a giveaway of the polishes when I came out with the season 2 polishes, if they had gotten enough attention. Of course I’m not doing this for attention or anything, it just seems silly to have a giveaway where there are only like five contestants. Then after that maybe start selling them on a small scale via blog sales or etsy.
I shall keep everyone updated about what I intend to do with the line, and if they do go on sale I will try and contact you personally. But thank you for your interest and lovely comments!
